- Needs to be friendly and professional at all times, be able to look after several things at once and maintains composure even under pressure.
- must be able to deal with bookings of walk-in clients or bookings through phone calls, e-mail, letter and/or fax
- must complete procedures when guests arrive and leave
- must assign rooms and hand out corresponding keys
- must prepare bills and receive payment
- must take and pass messages to guests when required
- must be able to deal with special requests from guests (like storing valuable items)
- must answer questions regarding hotel offers and other queries of quests
- must be able to deal with complaints or problems.
